Kagiso Rabada's month suspension after he failed a drug test was because the fast bowler tested positive for cocaine, the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport has said.
'After Mr. Rabada satisfactorily completed two sessions of his treatment program, his provisional suspension ended. The player has effectively served a one-month period of ineligibility and may now resume participation in sport.'
The South African Institute for Drug Free Sport (SAIDFS) conducted 100 random tests on players during the tournament.
South African cyclist David George, a former teammate of Lance Armstrong, has tested positive for the banned drug EPO (Erythropoietin), he said on Tuesday.
GT's director of cricket Vikram Solanki. asserted that all procedures were followed by the concerned parties in this case as the 29-year-old Rabada trained with Gujarat Titans ahead of their clash against Mumbai Indians.
